Serving as National Vice President for the Northeast Region of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, Mark Gordon has been a Vincentian since 1997. In his tenure with SVdP, Mark has served as both a District Council and Diocesan Council President. After graduating from Salve Regina University with a degree in Philosophy, he served as a commissioned officer in the United States Army for six years. He then worked in software, publishing, and retreat ministry before starting his own successful web development and graphic design firm, which he managed for 17 years. Mark is currently the homeless liaison for his local school district. An accomplished writer, Mark has written over 200,000 words for publications as varied as CIO, the National Catholic Register, Aleteia, and Mars Hill Journal, as well as a book about his conversion to the Catholic faith, Forty Days, Forty Graces: Essays by a Grateful Pilgrim. He was a contributor to the 2015 book, Radically Catholic in the Age of Francis. Mark has been married to Camila Casey for 40 years. They have two children and three grandchildren, and make their home in Westerly, Rhode Island, where they attend St. Clare Church and are members of the St. Catherine Labouré Conference.
