Louise Scott (retired) Vice President • Southern Company
Louise Scott has been an active member of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul for over 15 years. She currently serves as the 1st Vice President of the Archdiocesan Council of Georgia Board of Directors and a Vincentian at St. Brigid conference in Johns Creek Georgia.
Scott began her career at Southern Company in 1995 and served in several executive leadership roles both at Southern Company Gas and Georgia Power including Vice President of Customer Experience for both companies. Prior to 1995 she worked for Florida Power Corp. for nine years in engineering, marketing and governmental affairs roles. Scott participated in many utility restoration efforts throughout her career.
A native of Gloversville, N.Y., Scott earned a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Florida and a bachelor’s degree in studio art from the State University of New York. She completed the Goizueta executive program at Emory University and the University of Pennsylvania Wharton School executive accounting and finance program.
Scott is a member of the Society of Women Engineers and she serves on the University of Florida Herbert Wertheim College of Engineering Dean’s Advisory Board.
