Susan Wiland

National RVP

 

Susan Wiland currently serves as the Society of St. Vincent de Paul’s National Vice President for
the North Central Region. Susan graduated from Roosevelt University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Marketing and retired from Motorola, Inc. after 36 years of service. As an expatriate in Beijing, China from 1998 to 2004, Susan managed a diverse team from China, Japan, Thailand, Malaysia, and India in her role as Director of Asia Pacific Operations for Motorola. There, she was responsible for developing a
local sourcing and distribution strategy/team for cellular infrastructure manufacturing, contract management, demand planning for three factories, and implementation of an order-to-cash system. Susan’s vocation to the Society of St. Vincent de Paul began in January 2012. In her time with the Society, Susan has held many leadership positions, including Conference president, Rockford Council President, Chairperson of the North Central Region Meeting, a member of the Disaster Service Operations Committee, and a representative of the Growth and Revitalization Committee. Within her parish, Susan has served as a Catechist, for which she received the Bishop O’Neal award. She also serves the parish as part of the Liturgy Council, the Stewardship Committee, a sacristan, and Eucharistic Revival lead. A native Texan who now calls Hampshire, Illinois home, Susan has been married to Jerry Wiland for 14 years. Together, they are parents to a blended “Brady Bunch” family of three boys and three girls. They have been blessed with 12 grandchildren.
